National Trust for Historic Preservation
The Johanna Favrot Fund for Historic Preservation aims to save historic environments in order to foster an appreciation of our nation's diverse cultural heritage and to preserve and revitilze the livability of the nation's communities.
Eligible applicants must be members of the National Trust at the Forum or Main Street levels. Grants are available for nonprofit organizations and public agencies. Individuals and for-profit businesses may apply only if the project involves a National Historic Landmark. Programs of the National Trust are also eligible to apply.
Applicants must be capable of matching the grant amount dollar-for-dollar. Favrot Fund grants are awarded for planning activities and education efforts focused on preservation. Grants may be made for activities and projects such as: obtaining the services of consultants with expertise in area such as architecture, planning, economics, archaeology, fundraising, media relations, education or graphic design; obtaining professional advice to strenghten management capabilities; designing, producing and marketing print and video communications materials; sponsoring preservation conferences and workshops; designing and implementing preservation and education programs.
