Wisconsin State Fair Murals

Each individual mural is 12 feet high and 28 feet in length. All 14 murals span 5,000 square feet. Painting conservators worked on an oversized easel to restore each mural, allowing them to work upright and in natural daylight.

The "1948 Wisconsin State Fair Murals: 100 Years of Agricultural History" exhibit brings to life a series of 14 stunning, large-scale historic murals originally displayed at the 1948 Wisconsin State Fair in celebration of the state's centennial.

The murals were created to tell the story of Wisconsin's agricultural growth and development from 1848-1948.
