Wisconsin Historical Museum Announces 2022 Summer Camps

Wisconsin Historical Museum Announces 2022 Summer Camps | Wisconsin Historical Society

Madison, WI. – The Wisconsin Historical Museum has announced it will offer a variety of day camp options this summer for students entering the first through fifth grade in the 2022-2023 school year. Campers will enjoy a week of action-packed fun and learning and will go on exciting daily adventures around the state’s capital.

Each of the summer camp options runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the option to add on extended care through 5:00 p.m. Camper drop-off and pick-up will be located at the Wisconsin Historical Museum on Madison’s Capitol Square. Campers should bring a bagged lunch, bug spray, sunscreen and a water bottle.

Advanced registration is required for all summer camps and the cost is $250 per camper. Wisconsin Historical Society Members are eligible to receive a 10% discount and optional extended care is available for an additional $100. June 27- July 1: Wisconsin Wild Things Summer Camp (Grades 1-3)

Take a walk on the wild side, explore Madison’s natural wonders, and visit some of the amazing animals and plants that call our state home. We’ll meet fuzzy creatures and creepy crawlies. You will be wowed by all the wildlife here in Wisconsin.

July 11-15: Wonderful Wisconsin Animals Summer Camp (Grades 3-5)

Travel with us to some wild sites in Madison to discover the animals that call Wisconsin home. From gardens to the fish hatchery, we will encounter new animals each day. Prepare to be wildly impressed by Wisconsin’s critters, big and small.

July 25-29: Wisconsin and the World Summer Camp (Grades 1-3)

Take a trip around the world without leaving Wisconsin! Campers will explore the many cultures that make up our state. We’ll meet new friends and discover sites in Madison that are windows to the world. Come join us on our journey as we share traditional stories, make instruments, play games, and more.

August 8-12: Witty Wisconsin Ideas Summer Camp (Grades 1-3)

Learn about the wonderful inventions that were created here in Wisconsin and make some of your own! We will explore technology in Wisconsin through investigating the architecture around us, creating our own buildings, testing how ships float, and more.

August 22-26: The Wisconsin Idea Summer Camp: (Grades 3-5)

Are you a young inventor with lots of big ideas? Spend a week with us as we explore revolutionary inventions and technologies created by people right here in Wisconsin. We will explore through scientific experimentation, investigate the architecture around us, create a geodesic dome, and more.
