Learn About the Dark Tales of Lake Geneva During a Special Walking Tour

Lake Geneva, Wis. – Discover the dark underbelly of Lake Geneva in the walking tour, “Sordid and Scandalous: A Walking Tour of Lake Geneva,” throughout October.

“Lake Geneva has hundreds of unheard stories to tell,” says David Desimone, site director at Black Point Estate.  “Hearing them while seeing the sites of the city and lake is a great way to experience its history.”

Guests will hear the stories of a notorious 1950’s bank robbery, the town’s ties to prohibition gangsters, the Lake Geneva sea serpent, and darker tales about downtown and the history Maple Park’s past. 

The walking tour will take ninety minutes at an easy walking pace on city sidewalks and cover approximately 1.5 miles of ground.  The tours will depart from the Riviera Building at 11:00 AM and return at 12:30 PM on October 6, 13, and 20, and depart at 4:00 PM and return at 5:30 PM on October 27.

Tickets are $8.00 per person and can be purchased online at blackpointestate.org or by calling 262-248-1888. Tickets can also be purchased the day of but advanced registrations are encouraged.
