Enjoy a Night of Live Music and Fun at Pendarvis Cornish Fest Pub Night

Mineral Point, Wis. – Grab a beer, a glass of wine or a root beer and join us for the Cornish Fest Pub Night at Pendarvis Historic Site on September 28 from 6:00 – 10:00 pm!

“The cozy recreated Cornish pub is the perfect place to relax, get comfortable, and enjoy a nice drink,” said Susan Caya-Slusser, site director at the Southwest Historic Sites.  “Even without a drink in your hand, you can enjoy live music, games, and a night of historic fun!”

The night will feature live music by The Tooles (sponsored by Farmers Savings Bank); Our Kitchen food truck from Platteville serving American fare starting at 6:00 pm, beer and root beer provided by Brewery Creek and wine provided by Friends of the Villa Louis

The Cornish Fest Pub Night is free to attend; the first drink costs $10, and each refill is $5, and the unique Pendarvis House shield glass is yours to keep. Proceeds from Pub Night go to preserving and interpreting the beautiful buildings at Pendarvis Historic Site.

Flashlight tours will also be available during Pub Night and will let guests see Pendarvis in a different light. They leave at 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. The cost of the Flashlight tours are $15 dollars and include a pint glass for Pub Night refills. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 608-987-2122.

This event is a part of the Mineral Point’s Cornish Fest, a celebration of Cornish heritage and the influence of early Cornish immigrants on the Old Lead Region. For more information on Cornish Fest, visit http://www.cornishfest.org/.

About Pendarvis Historic Site

Tucked away in historic Mineral Point, Pendarvis celebrates the restoration and preservation efforts of Robert Neal and Edgar Hellum, who saved a significant part of Wisconsin’s past. Their legacy includes the six historic stone and stone-and-log cottages which comprise Pendarvis today, built by Cornish immigrants in the 1840s during the Wisconsin Territory's lead-mining boom. Nearby Merry Christmas Mine Hill still bears the signs of early mining activity, and a 43-acre restored prairie reveals the unspoiled wilderness found by the first arriving settlers.
