Experience Flavorful Events this Summer at the Wisconsin Historical Museum

Madison, Wis. – This summer, join the Wisconsin Historical Museum in celebration of the flavors that connect us to our diverse heritage in the most delicious ways with the NEW exhibit, “The Flavor of Wisconsin.”

“This summer we are excited to unveil this new exhibit at the museum in conjunction with programming and events across the state,” said Michael Hollander, site director at the Wisconsin Historical Museum.  “The museum will be offering events and programming throughout the summer that explore the history of food and eating in the Badger state.”

The opening of the “Flavor of Wisconsin Exhibit” will take place on Tuesday, June 26 from 5-7pm at the Wisconsin Historical Museum on the Capitol Square.  Through family craft activities, objects, and marvelous images from the collections of the Wisconsin Historical Society, guests will discover how the foods we produce make us who we are all while enjoying food and drink provided by Wisconsin producers.  Participating vendors include Klarbrunn, Lake Louie Brewing, Metcalfe’s Market, Old Sugar Distillery, and more!

With exhibitions, demonstrations, tours, and tastes around the state, The Flavor of Wisconsin brings to life history and living traditions.  See all Flavor of Wisconsin events at wisconsinhistory.org/flavor.

Throughout the summer, the Wisconsin Historical Museum will also be offering a variety of other programming and events including:

  • Kids Create at the Top of State (Every Friday)
  • Hands-On History Special Events
  • Story Saturday (First Saturday of every month)
  • History Sandwiched In
