Bennett Studio in the Wisconsin Dells. Now open for the 2018 season, the studio belonged to photographer H.H. Bennett who captured the images that made Wisconsin Dells famous. “Whether you have never been to H.H. Bennett Studio or you’ve been here many times we will be offering many fun and exciting programs and events throughout the season for our guests,” said David Rambow, site director of H.H. Bennett Studio. “New this year, The Tintype Experience, allows visitors to have their own portrait “struck” using the wet plate photography technique of H.H. Bennett Studio Henry Hamilton Bennett, considered one of the preeminent landscape photographers of the 19th century, built his first personal studio in Wisconsin Dells in 1865 and brought global attention and audiences to the Dells through his captivating photography of the natural landscape. The studio remains the oldest business currently operating in the Wisconsin Dells. This photographic studio is actually one of if not the oldest working photography studio in the country.
