Taste Hop-Infused History at Old World Wisconsin!

Eagle, Wis. – Gather your friends and experience what your great-great-grandfather was brewing at the Historic Brewing experience at Old World Wisconsin.  In partnership with the Museum of Beer and Brewing, Old World Wisconsin will introduce some new elements for guests to enjoy this summer.

“We are excited to bring this popular program back for the 2018 season,” said Dan Freas, director of Old World Wisconsin.  “New this year will be the opportunity for guests, age 21 and over, to taste a three-ounce sample of a historic brew! Also, the serving area where guests may purchase a beer or soft drink from one of our partner breweries has been enhanced for the 2018 season.”

The Historic Brewing experience engages guests in exploring the origins of Wisconsin’s beer-making industry.  Volunteer brewers use the equipment and techniques from the late 1800s as well as heirloom hops and barley grown at Old World Wisconsin to bring the taste of 19th-century beer to guests.

During the visit, stop by the Life on the Farms Picnic Area to fully engage your sense through a cold brew and German pretzels and root beer!  Old World Wisconsin’s historic brewing experience is offered on select Saturdays from June through early October.   Craft beers from the following featured breweries from around the state will be featured on the following dates.
