Contact: Keri O’Keefe April 5, 2018 Hear the Untold Stories of the Remarkable Women of Lake Geneva Lake Geneva, Wis. – This Mother’s Day, celebrate the remarkable woman of Geneva Lake while taking a voyage with the Lake Geneva Cruise Line to Black Point Estate and Gardens. “This narrated boat tour will focus on many of the remarkable women that have lived along the shore of Geneva Lake,” said David Desimone, site director at Black Point Estate and Gardens. “New to the program this year is a local historian, Chris Brookes, who will be providing the narration for the event.” This special event is taking place on Sunday, May 13 from 12:30-4PM. This Mother’s Day package also includes a tour of Black Point Estate and Gardens, an 1888 Queen Anne Victorian lake summer cottage. This tour will highlight several of the key women who lived in Black Point throughout the years. A champagne toast in honor of Mother’s Day will also be served at the Estate. Tickets are $44.00 and include the boat cruise, program, and mimosas. Boat rides depart from and return to Riveria Docks in downtown Lake Geneva. The entire tour takes approximately three hours. About Black Point Estate and Gardens Black Point Estate and Gardens is one of twelve historic sites administered by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The estate is a 20 room Queen-Anne style “cottage” built by Chicago beer baron Conrad Seipp with construction completed in 1888. Black Point Estate and Gardens is open for tours from May to October.
