April 4, 2018 - Make Your Child's Summer Historic! | Wisconsin Historical Society

This summer, your child will transform from a fan of history to become part of the story at the Wisconsin Historical Society's summer camps!

The Wisconsin Historical Society offers summer camps for all ages and interests.  From a high school apprenticeship program at a living history museum to a 1st-grade curiosity camp on Madison's capitol square, there is a summer camp for everyone!  Read below to learn more about the summer camps offered or click here.  Space is limited and filling quickly!

Old World Wisconsin: Apprentice Camp Program (Eagle, WI)

Campers will spend four full days as part of our Old World Wisconsin Guest Experience Team.  Dressed in historic clothes they will learn techniques and facilitation skills while being responsible for helping our guests get hands-on with history.

Wade House Day Camps (Greenbush, WI)

Pioneer Day Camp
The Pioneer day camp introduces children to daily life in Wisconsin nearly 150 years ago.  Kids learn the art of blacksmithing, woodworking, candle making, sewing, hearth cooking and more!

 
 
Civil War Day Camp
The Civil War Era comes to life in this engaging day camp designed just for kids!  Children explore the worlds of both Civil War soldiers and their families back on the homefront.
