Skillet Creek Falls [origin of place name] | Wisconsin Historical Society

Also known as Pewit's Nest, derives its name from a skillet-shaped rock which exists near the falls.  The falls are located on private land just to the east of the 36-acre Pewit's Nest State Natural Area in Sauk County (T11N-R6E, Section 9 NW¼NE¼).
