Ragueneau, Fr. Paul, 1608-1680
Jesuit missionary; arriving in New France in 1636, he was placed in charge of the western missions to the Hurons in 1645; after Iroquois attacks in 1649-1650 he brought several hundred of them as refugees to Quebec, where he authored the Jesuit Relations each year, 1645-1653.
