Onalaska boat designer, builder and racer. He built and designed boats with his father Charles, and by 1930  had his own shop building wood and later, fiberglass, utility and runabout boats under the Pabst Boat Company name. He raced boats professionally in the Midwest for 12 years. Pabst also patented an anchor design, worked as a tool and die maker for the Trane company, and designed and built fiberglass and airboats for Outers Laboratories.
