(Rep.), born in Dunn County's Town of New Haven, Nov. 28, 1888. Educated Connorsville rural school, Dunn County Agric. School, Lifetime farmer, specializing in purebred Guernsey; retired from farming 1945, now devotes his time to REA activities ; pres. Dunn Co. REA since its founding 1937. President Wis. Electric Co-op, 1939-47; director and charter member Dairyland Power Co-op. For 18 years director creamery co-op. Served as president of high school board. A state Senator in 1951 and 1953, the 1951 Senate apportionment made him ineligible for re-election to Senate in 1954, Elected to Assembly in 1956, 1960, 1962. Chairman of Assembly Enrolled Bills Committee; member Assembly Commerce and Manufactures Com., Veterans and Milit. Affairs Com. Home address: 205 - 14th St., Menomonie. (Blue Book 1964) . [According to family members, he died in 1976 and is buried with his wife Freda in Saint Paul's Lutheran Cemetery south of Menomonie.]
