Nickels, Justin Michael, 1987-

One of the youngest mayor's in Wisconsin history. Born Jan. 9, 1987, in Manitowoc. He took out nomination papers for the Common Council at age 17 and was elected to the District Two council seat at 18, 20 and 22. Nickels declined a third term. Elected council president in 2007. A recount completed April 16, 2009, gave Nickels a 17-vote lead over Ald. David Soeldner and he took office April 21, 2009.
