McCloy, William Ashby, 1913-2000
mural painter and educator; McCloy was raised in China and educated at Phillips Andover and the Yale School of Art. He held teaching positions at Drake University and the University of Wisconsin, where he assisted John Steuart Curry in murals and painted the Wisconsin Centennial Mural in the headquarters of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
