Today Aztalan is a state park near the town of Lake Mills. Many of its original mounds are preserved, portions of its stockade and platform mounds have been recreated, and a self-guided trail with maps and photographs explains its origins. These recent photos show its major features and general setting on a hillside above the Crawfish River in western Jefferson County.
