German editors seek to foster unity among Republicans, 1858

Meeting of the German Republican Editors of Wisconsin


In this 1858 article, six German newspaper editors present their views on the direction of the Republican party and the participation of German Americans in the party. They caution other Republicans to not let the corruption of party politics trample the values on which the party was founded.
