Additional Comments
2024: This two-story Greek Revival house was constructed c.1850. The building consists of a two-story, front-gabled, rectangular building mass and a pre-1894 one-story wing that spans the east elevation of the two-story mass and wraps around a portion of the south elevation (the wing may be original to the building as in the “temple and wing” subtype of the Greek Revival style). Both building masses are clad in vinyl siding and feature asphalt-shingled gable roofs. The building’s front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition. The two-story building mass features a wide cornice board, eave returns, and wide corner boards with square capitals. It contains two one-over-one windows at the first story and two one-over-one windows at the second story. The front elevation of the wing contains a single door and a multi-pane (or simulated multi-pane) picture window. A shed-roof projects along the front eave of the wing to shelter the entrance and extends to cover the eastern first story window of the two-story building mass (suggesting that this window was the original location of the building’s front door).
