THIS TWO STORY, FEDERAL STYLED HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1844. (SEE BIB. REF. A). IT FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE FOUNDATION, A BRICK EXTERIOR, A STONE TRIM AND A GABLE ROOF. THE MAIN ENTRANCE IS DESIGNED WITH A TRANSOM WINDOW AND SIDELIGHTS. STONE LINTELS AND PROJECTING SILLS EMBELLISH THE SIX-OVER-SIX WINDOWS. PAIRED END CHIMNEYS AND PARAPETS FURTHER DISTINGUISH THE DWELLING. MODERN SIDING AND A SMALL ADDITION WAS REMOVED WHEN THE HOUSE WAS RESTORED IN C. 1976. (SEE BIB. REF. B). INDIVIDUALS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS HOUSE AND THE DATES OF THEIR ASSOCIATION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: WILLIAM TREGAY, FROM 1844 TO 1846; NELSON LATHROP, FROM 1850 TO THE EARLY 1860'S. (SEE BIB. REF. A).
