This house is architecturally significant as a fine example of the Italianate style. The square form, hip roof with cupola, bracketed eaves, and arched windows are all elements of the style. This house is particularly fine because of its overall high level of preservation, its size, and the extant cupola, a detail many like Italianate houses have lost.
At the present time this house is not historically significant. Further research into the original owner may uncover information that makes this house historically significant in the future.
