This house is architecturally significant as a good example of the Prairie style. The simplicity of the design and the emphasis on the horizontal lines of the house are typical of one variation of the Prairie style. What is unusual is the stair tower, a detail that is not usually seen on this type of house.
This was the home of Adolph and Dorothy Beuchaud between 1921 and 1942. Adolph Beuchaud was the owner of an automobile dealership. Initial research indicates that this house is not historically significant. Further research may uncover information that makes this house significant in the future.
