Additional Comments
The two and one half story American Foursquare styled house features a square shaped plan configuration with additions, a clapboard exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shingled shed and hip roof with dormers. The building rests on a foundation of rock faced concrete block, concrete and stone. The front porch has a hip roof supported by Tuscan columns. Other porch elements include a balustrade and a lattice-work porch. At the side elevation is a hip roofed bay window with decorative brackets underneath. The residence is in fair condition. A related building is a carriage house (GL 29/7). Architectural/Engineering Significance: This sturcture contributes to the significance of the Nathan Strong Park Historic District under Criterion C as a modest example of a plain early 20th century American Foursquare house that has been preserved withhout important alteration to its exterior. The carriage house in the rear is a handsome period accessory structure.
