Additional Comments
This one and one half story Queen Anne styled house features an irregular shaped plan configuration, a stucco and granite stone foundation, a clapboard and wood shingled exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shingled multigabled roof with dormers. These dormers are either shed roofed, pedimented, or both. The pediments contain decorative wood shingles and pent roofed eave returns. Two front pediments are adorned with wood shingles as well. The two sided front porch has an open design with a hip roof, turned columns and a wooden railing. The residence is in poor condition. A related building is an attached rear garage. Architectural/Engineering Significance: This structure contributes to the significance of the Nathan Strong Park Historic District under Criterion C as a good example of a small Queen Anne cottage with exceptionally picturesque massing and such characteristic features as a wrap-around porch with turned posts, ornamental Queen Anne sash, and decoratively shingled and panelled gables.
