Additional Comments
Clapboard is the exterior fabric on this 2 story residence. The plan is rectangular with a rear addition. Windows have a wide wood frame with entablature. The gable roof has the eave facing the road. There are 2 wall gable dormers in front. A plain frieze is under the eaves and there is a front frieze window. The gable has a trefoil window in it. There is a full front porch. The cornice is boxed and there are endboards. Much of the integrity of this residence remains intact. It is a good example of this type of home. However, it does not seem to have any outstanding characteristics that would give it architectural significance. 2026: Side Gable house is two stories in height, rectangular in plan with a rear addition, and sheltered by a side-gabled roof clad in asphalt shingles. Gabled dormers project from the south-facing roof slope, and a centrally placed interior brick chimney rises above the roofline. The exterior walls are clad in clapboard siding. The façade contains a full-width open porch topped by a hipped roof supported by square posts. Fenestration consists of single and paired one-over-one wood-frame window units with surrounds and projecting cornice heads, while trefoil windows are positioned within the gable peaks. A flat-roofed two-car garage is positioned at the rear of the lot and contains a double paneled overhead garage door.
