Additional Comments
This two-story Craftsman house was constructed in 1909 for F.A. Anderson; the house later served as the residence of various presidents of Milton College. It is rectangular in plan with red brick walls and an asphalt-shingled side-gabled roof with overhanging eaves and slightly projecting rafter ends. The house is comprised of the original two-story brick building mass and one-story side-gabled wings that project from both side elevations. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition. A central front door is accessed by a concrete stoop and sheltered by a round-arched roof with decorative brackets that projects from the face of the building. West of the door is a four-over-one window. South of the door is a bank of three windows (a central four-over-one window with flanking three-over-one windows). The second story contains three windows: one three-over-one, one four-over-one, and a smaller twelve-over-twelve at the center. The west wing contains two double-bay garage doors and is clad in vinyl siding. The east wing contains a picture window flanked by single-pane windows and is clad in aluminum siding.
