The cover of a composition book printed by the Germania Publishing Company. A label identifies the contents as "Incorporation-Papers and Minutebook, Germania Publishing Comp,y [sic]". The book records the issuance of 998 shares of stock to The Germania Company's founder and president, George Brumder (1839-1910) on January 7, 1889. Brumder immediately gave one share of stock each to his daughters Amalie Christine and Ida Johanna Brumder, who were his only children over 21 years of age at the time.
