Western Hotel

View down road towards the Western Hotel on the left. The original tavern was built in 1834 (?) by William Shields (?). In 1845 it was operated by his son Simon Shields. In 1873 the Hotel was taken over by Joseph Dreyfuss and was subsequently known as Hotel Dreyfuss. Presented in 1913 by the current proprietor Julius Dreyfuss, son of Joseph Dreyfuss.
