Office of the State Board of Control of Wisconsin Reformatory, Charitable and Penal Institutions, in the third Wisconsin State Capitol, showing details of the Eastlake table, chairs, and gas light fixture, the patterned carpet, and the cabinets for record storage. This office was located in the Capitol addition completed in 1883, and furniture was likely purchased at that time. Identical and similar furniture can be found in other photographs, suggesting that the Eastlake style was prevalent in the additions built in 1883.
