Front view of the Wade House. The Wade House, one of the earliest stagecoach inns in Wisconsin, was built between 1847 and 1851 by Sylvanus Wade. It became the most important stop on the plank road between Sheboygan and Fond du Lac.

Buttes des Morts Inn

A large, two-story wood building with nine over six windows identified as an inn; at the time of the photograph it served as the Butte des Morts Post Office, a general store and gas station.
