A rafting trip down the Wisconsin River in 1868

Personal Experiences of a Wisconsin River Raftsman

Ceylon Childs Lincoln came to Wisconsin with his family as a boy. After serving in the Union army, Lincoln returned to Wisconsin and became a printer. In this piece, Lincoln describes his first rafting trip down the Wisconsin River in 1868, a portion of a larger work on logging in northern Wisconsin.
