A guide to the battles and engagements fought by Wisconsin troops.

Records and sketches of military organizations: population, legislation, election and other statistics relating to Wisconsin in the period of the Civil War

Charles Estabrook compiled this record of the actions, campaigns, and other efforts made by Wisconsin citizens in the Civil War. The first section lists the battles and campaigns in which Wisconsin troops were actively engaged, including reports made by regimental commanders. There is also a brief sketch of each regiment organized in the state, followed by population tables, election returns, and copies of official circulars released during the Civil War period.
