Gustave Runge, a German immigrant to Dane County, wrote this letter to his brother Franz in New Strelitz, Germany, in 1853. In it, Runge describes the weather, grain prices, railroad construction, and items he wished sent to him from Germany. Note: this manuscript has not yet been transcribed.
