Milwaukee Public School Rules, 1846


Rufus King, president of Milwaukee's Board of School Commissioners, issued this list of rules for students enrolled in the city's public schools in 1846. In addition to outlining appropriate classroom behavior, the list describes the terms of admission into the school system.
