Turning Points
in Wisconsin History
A Wisconsin soldier sends home a valentine.
Harvey and Harriette Vick scrapbooks and ephemera, 1907-2002 (selection).
Harvey Vick kept a scrapbook documenting his World War II service and correspondence. This sample from his scrapbook is a handmade valentine sent by Harvey during his service to his wife Harriette. A large collection of additional ephemera and correspondence related to Harvey's service (described here) exists in paper form in the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives. These documents are made available online through a partnership between the Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin Public Television.
