The Wisconsin men and women who lost their lives during the war

Wisconsin's gold star list; soldiers, sailors, marines, and nurses from the Badger state who died in the federal service during the world war

John Gregory compiled this list of men and women from Wisconsin who lost their lives during World War I. Gregory notes that many of those who served from Wisconsin were not members of the United States military, serving instead in Canadian, British, French, Polish, or Italian units. Organized by branch, Gregory lists the dead from each county, including information about birth, marriage, and cause of death if known.
