2025; This two-story Gable Ell farmhouse was constructed circa 1870. This farmstead is possibly the A.F. Goodwin Farmstead located on the 1873 Atlas map of Dodge County, Hubbard Township. It has brown brick cladding and a metal panel cross gable roof. Windows appear to be replacement double-hung wood sashes. Further view is obscured from the public right of way by roadside foliage. To the west of the house is the primary barn (AHI No. 248275). It is a gambrel bank barn that dates to the construction of the farmhouse. The attached rock-face masonry milk house was constructed later than the barn, circa 1925, to reflect changing dairy sanitation laws. The barn has a fieldstone foundation with a thin layer of parging, vertical board siding, and an asphalt shingle roof with a pair of rooftop ventilators. The street-facing gable face hosts a pair of out-swinging and oversized wood doors at the ground level. At the side are wooden entry doors. Windows are limited to the ground level and are of glass block infill or of wooden panes. A modern milk house addition with vertical vinyl siding and a metal panel gable roof is opposite the original. A circa 1905 concrete stave silo (AHI No. 248276) is at the barn’s southwest corner. Adjacent to the barn’s southeast corner is the circa 1900 poultry house (AHI No. 248277). It has wood clapboard siding and a replacement metal shed roof with the original ventilation stack at the center. To the east of the poultry house is a circa 1900 small animal barn (AHI No. 248278). It has a stone foundation, wood clapboard siding, and a gable roof. A circa 1960 saltbox barn is at the farmhouse’s rear (AHI No. 248279).
