Additional Comments
2021: This one-and-one-half story, frame, c.1880 Queen Anne house has a rectangular plan, with gable extensions on the side (east and west) elevations, an octagonal tower at the southeast corner, and a one-story shed-roof addition in the northwest ell. The intersecting gable roof is covered in asphalt shingles, and has wide eaves and decorative bargeboards, horizontal clapboard and fishscale shingles, and sunburst details in the gable ends. The tower has a finial and two arched windows in ogee arch dormers with fleur-de-lis trim details. The house has horizontal wood clapboard, with accent panels of horizontal clapboard or fishscale shingles above box bays on the front (south) facade and side (east) elevation, and endboards. Its foundation is stone. On the facade, the box bay, which has a mansard roof and brackets, provides balance for the tower. An identical box bay is in a projecting gable on the east extension, which has cut away corners with scrolled trim and pendants. The main entrance, a wood panel and multi-light door, is accessed via a mansard-roof porch on the east elevation. Porch details include spindlework, brackets, turned posts, and balustrade. Windows are fixed, one-over-one and one-by-one hung and sliding sash replacement units.
