A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Large Late Picturesque style three story clapboarded house with some Shingle Style influence. Broad front end pediment on third floor pierced by four 6/1 wqindows and decorated with shingles. First and second stories with rectangular windows with new shutters. House is noteworthy for the tall corner onion dome attached turret. Other houses with turrets in this district at 523 Chapple Avenue (3-32), 701 Chapple Avenue, (4-7).

[A] ASHLAND ASSESSOR'S CARD. Tax rolls confirm the house was built between 1894 and 1895. Warner purchased the lot in July 1893 (51/507, #1939). Earlier associated deeds indicate that at least the lot sale was handled by the Osborn Home Association. Ashland Daily Press 1/13/1920, 6/1/1943, 12/11/1959, 10/10/1975. Mellen Weekly 1/22/1914.
