The Pinkerton-Churchill Block is a two-story Queen Anne style commercial building with a front of red brick. The second story is decorated with a parapet cornice featuring brick corbeling and shallow pilasters. Stone belt courses cross the upper facade and stones decorate the pilasters. The second story openings consists of large tri-partite windows. On the east side of the building, the opening is decorated with a multi-light transom. Multi-light arched transoms decorate the single openings flanking the large opening. On the west half of the building, the large openings have enclosed transoms. The storefronts has been somewhat remodeled. The east storefront is almost entirely enclosed, while the west storefront has its large show windows intact, but its transom is enclosed.
Although some details have been removed, enough historic fabric exists to show the historic quality of the building. The building is also historically significant as a long-time commercial building, particularly as the home of the important Glover's Department Store in the twentieth century.
