A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. B-05-736, 2006-OPERATOR'S HOUSE REMOVED. 2009- "This is a Scherzer-type rolling lift bascule bridge with underneath counterweights. The bridge displays a double-leaf, deck, plategirder bascule span approached on the east by three fixed, deck, plate-girder spans. A similar approach on the west is extended to the abutment by three concrete-slab spans. The bridge's superstructure rests on concrete abutments and piers. Its overall width is 37 feet and its length is 687 feet. The existing plain metal railing is not original and likely dates to ca. 1980. Since the bridge was last surveyed in 1996, the bridge tender's house has been removed." -"STH 96/High St Bridge Replacement", WisDOT#4095-12-00, Prepared by Heritage Reasearch, Ltd. (McQuillen), (2009). moveable bridge
