ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SIGNIFICANCE:
THIS HOUSE IS A VERNACULAR ONE-STORY CUBE INTACT BUT IN OBVIOUS NEED OF REPAIR. THE SQUARE MAIN BLOCK FEATURES ITS OLD CLAPBOARD SIDING, A BRICK CHIMNEY, A WIDE BAND UNDER THE EAVES SUGGESTING A FRIEZE, AND A GABLE-ROOFED, ENCLOSED, FRONT-PORCH ADDITION EXTENDING ACROSS THE FULL WIDTH OF THE BUILDING. THE FRONT PORCH (AS WELL AS THE REAR ADDITION) CONTINUES THE FRIEZE-LIKE BAND AND EVEN SUGGESTS CORNER PILASTERS.
No longer extant. The one-story cube building was replaced with a one-story, side-by-side condo (115/117 E River Dr) built in 2005, according to the City's tax assessor's records.
