Porch on the east side of the house was added between 1912 and 1926. The western addition is post-1926.[A] Henry was a brother of Sever H. and was raised in the Town of Dunkirk. He operated 2 tobacco farms and owned one of the first cars in Stoughton. Henry and Mary married in 1882. One of their children, Della, lived here for many years. The house stayed in the family until 1976. The Lewis' are only the third family to own the house. The carriage house to the rear still has its horse stalls.
