SEGMENTAL ARCHED WINDOWS. BRACKETED CORNICE. Resurveyed November 2012; changes include the replacement of the earlier metal stoop railings with stepped stone half-walls and the addition of a decorative crown and door surround around the door in the south elevation This 2-story Commercial Vernacular building was constructed in 1896 as a hotel; it currently functions as a restuarant. It is rectangular in plan with brick walls and a flat roof. The front elevation has an angled southwest corner with a first-story door and a 1-over-1 window above. The south elevation contains a central door with concrete stoop and pairs of 1-over-1 windows on each side; two 1-over-1 windows are located at the second story with a single doorway in between. The second-story door opens onto a small cantilevered metal balcony. A simply decorated cornice tops a parapet that runs across the facade of the building. Resurveyed 2026: Cream brick commercial vernacular building is two stories in height, rectangular in plan, and is covered by a flat roof concealed behind a parapet with a cornice featuring dentil molding. The south elevation features an angled southwest corner with an entrance sheltered by an awning and accessed by a short run of steps. A secondary entrance on the south elevation features a decorative crown and door surround and is accessed by a short run of steps with stepped stone half-walls. A central doorway at the second story on the south elevation opens onto a small, cantilevered metal balcony. First-story windows are primarily paired one-over-one units set within segmental-arched openings with stone sills, those on the south elevation sheltered by awnings. Second-story windows are single one-over-one units set within segmental-arched openings with stone sills. An additional entrance on the west elevation is located toward the rear and is accessed by a raised wooden deck with stairs. A window above opens onto a small cantilevered metal balcony. A basement entrance on the west elevation is enclosed by a shed-roof structure covered in asphalt shingles, clad in vertical wood siding and with two fixed windows.
