Photo code FCS 5/11 - Thilmany Box Factory - slated for demolition, this one-story papermill box factory is built of coursed, rough limestone masonry. A flat-roofed rectangle, it has a simple wooden cornice and segmental-arched windows that evoke the Italianate style. An aperture at center of the downstream, roadside facade has double wooden doors and is flanked by arched windows with stone sills and surrounds. The long facade wall also retains the outlines of an infilled doorway at left and a window on the right. The upstream rear wall and the landward sidewall are of solid masonry. The riverside sidewall is flanked by a ramp and partially sheltered by a metal carport. The sidewall has a narrow, right-side vertical window and a left-side doorway. Metal smokestack and vents pierce the roof.
