A TWO-STORY BRICK COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE FEATURES A FLAT SLOPING ROOF, A BRACKETED METAL CORNICE AND CUT-BRICK TRIM THAT EXTENDS ONE BAY AROUND THE WEST SIDE. FLAT KEYSTONE ACCENTED WINDOW HOODS IN THE FRONT FACADE, SEGMENTAL ARCHED WINDOWS IN THE SIDE ELEVATION AND A STRING COURSE ACROSS THE FACADE EMPHASIZING THE WINDOW BAND ACCENT THE STRUCTURE. THE STORE FRONT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY ALTERED FOR CONTEMPORARY USE. THE DATE OF CONSTRUCTION IS INDICATED ON THE BUILDING'S PLAQUE. ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: ONE OF THE MORE DECORATIVE BUILDINGS INFLUENCED BY THE ITALIANATE STYLE, THIS BUILDING IS IMPORTANT TO THE ARCHITECTURAL VARIETY OF THE HISTORIC COMMERCIAL DISTRICT. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND SIGNIFICNACE: THIS BUILDING HOUSED A SERIES OF DRUG STORES UNTIL RECENTLY: ROBINSON DRUGS, WWI; SCHMITZ DRUGS, GEORGE KREB'S DRUGS, GEORGE WALKER'S DRUGS.
