David Eulberg (1993) identifies the building as Ziggy's bar in the 1950s, and the bar remained in the building until the 1970s.
An independent sewing machine retailer, Joseph Ashley, occupied the building from 1901 to 1904. By 1905, T.N. Teague, manager for the Singer Sewing Machine Company ran the store. A representative of the company remained in the store until 1910. By 1917-18, Fred Denizen, a barber operated in the building. Clarence Peterson placed a restaurant in the building from 1927 through 1948. By 1955, it was Peterson Tavern.
