Flat roofed water work structure with plain projecting cornice with sculptured parapet, classical festoon design panels, long window (now filled in) with articulated keystones, large rectangular projecting entrance, brick quoins, and rear addition. One of the few municipal structures remaining in the city, the City Water Works Building was influenced by classical design sources that were associated with civic pride and virture in the early 20th century. This structure and the original Pump House at 119 King (79-27) are the best preserved civic structures remaining in the city. The second City Water Works builing-this structure was constructed over an artesian well in Myrick Park in 1911.
