William A. Klatte, an 1899 graduate from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, helped create the position of Milwuakee County Clerk of Civil Court. He held that position for thirty years. After 1912, he and his wife Florence lived at 716 E. Day Avenue in Whitefish Bay.
