After serving in WWII, Twin Waters Resort was begun in circa 1946 by Mr. Kant, an engineer from Milwaukee. Kant maintained the property into the 1950s. Kelly Newton, owner for the last eight years had purchased it from George and Lois Reudiger, who now operate the nearby St. Germain Lodge and Resort. During interior renovations, Newton identified that at least one of the cabins was built in 1946.
